FOSS@NITC MEET

I reached NITC on 3.3.2007 at 10:20 AM. Had met my GURU(Pramode CE).We had a good session there in the IT Lab.
Had attended the talk of Suresh, who was having a good talk on KERNEL DEBUGGER. It was really nice for me to
recollect those old days about gdb. The interesting that I had observed about NITIANS is that :- Mr.Suresh told
them to write a simple code which will create segmentation fault. But then I saw students are using
“#include iostream.h”. What is this?? What had happened to the great NITIANS (Which they feel to be than compared
to us(GECIANS)??? How can a man who is sticked with the OOP’S concept get a chance to know about the idea of segmentation
fault. Humm again not stopped. A guy who was sitting near to me, was not able to write the code other than cout and cin.
And then he was enjoying orkut. What will be the future of India with respect to these newly spawned OOP’S engineers?

Now It was time for the lunch. Vivek was really bad with his health!!!. I dont want to have any comments on that .
And I met my juniors from the college. In fact I dont remember them!!! Now it was Anjali who dint remembered me!! She
came foreward and asked me to introduce myself. Humm as am always shyfull to introduce me in front of a girl. I any how
managed to. Now had some good lunch and it was the time for me to attend my gurus talk… And I dont have any words to
praise, it was simply amazing… But do you know that there was a person who slept in his seat with the pen in his mouth.. Perhaps he might had felt that iopl and PORTB’s are junk or ATMEL’s are junk.. Any ways no more comments on that..

Now came an intresting session. It was the Motivation Injection by Aanjhan. I had heared that ssh was having some speed
issues with it(this crib was made by a student). Well I clearly told that he had not used the ssh properly. Because if he
had used it he wouldn’t cribbed about that. Aanjhan tried hard to motivate the audience to use GNU/Linux. I don’t know how
many of them will use it. And then they were joined by Kushal.

By the mean time I was expecting a call from Hiran because I had promised to assist him in the wiki class. But he din’t because Aniwar overtooked me. I had a good session with Jinesh, Anivar , Pramode Sir, Hiran , Praveen ,Kushal and Aanjhan.

It was time for dinner. And after that I had attended Atul chitnis talk.

Now it was time for me to tease Hiran(Poor fellow). Anivar also joined it followed by Praveen.

Anyways that night was a memorable moment for me in NITC. Though it made me feel that I was one of the NITian.
Anivar always had something in his hand to enjoy. This time it was Bangali
flok song called BAWAL. I enjoyed it. But then I saw Aniwar had covered his whole body with the blanket and slept!!!!!

Today morning I joined PCE for his phoenix workshop. Well he was little afraid because actually there was a roumer that
praveen didnt had much audience. That made him to change the topic as PHOENIX and PYTHON workshop. I was happy to see
that young buddies were there to participate. They were also shooting some questions..

Now its time for me to participate in the next FOSS event as a speaker. This time I was a delegator. I was really enjoying
the enthusiasm in the students eyes, when the GNUers were talking. Now I had realized that am no where.

But yah I can be somewhere, as Kushal told me. And will now start to get some good topics which I can learn and which could attract the students also… Which was always my dream….
