Planning to buy a Camera

For the last week I was searching for a good camera. It was then I came to know about CHDK from slashdot and Pramode sir.
This week I have to go to a few shops in Bangalore and have a look at the prices so that I could make a decision whether to
buy from India or US. There are a few *spies* around me who are compelling not to use CHDK. But the engineer instinct in me is not willing to listen. Thats all for now.
