FSUG Bangalore Meeting

After a long gap Madhusudan took initiative for the FSUG Bangalore meet. I would like to thank Madhusudan for that :) The meeting was held at Cubbon park. Renukaprasad, Santhosh Vattam, Madhusudan and me reached there by 5 PM (which was the time set for the meeting to start). We discussed something related to GSOC, KDE, Koha and Kannada translation. Its a nice feeling when the contributors meet together and discuss about their projects. We discussed how well the project’s are going and how to bring newbies into the project and if any usability issues of the project(if any). I am happy that after 6 long months we came together for the meeting.

In the mean while Vignesh, Preeti Jha, Amit Gulati and Suman Mukharji came for the meeting. Everyone introduced to others. And again the discussion went on how some of them got into contributing into FLOSS projects.

Altogether it was a nice meeting. And I hope the new people who came to the meeting also loved it :) Once again a big thanks to all who attended the meeting.

Photos of the meeting could be found here.

Added sorting feature for quicklaunch

I had added sorting feature for quicklaunch. That is applications in quicklaunch can be now sorted ascending and descending. This is the first code checkin I am doing using git svn. Thanks Chani for advising me to use git. Thanks to boom1992, to review the code :)

Feature reverted back

The sort feature in quicklaunch will be avalibale after KDE 4.3 version. I forgot that feature release was freezed for 4.3. Hence reverted back the commits I made. Sorry for trouble :(

Added new feature for quicklaunch

This time it isn’t a bug fix. It is a feature addition. I added a new feature to quicklaunch. The feature is to sort the applications in the quicklaunch both in ascending and descending way. Somehow I felt if there was some method named reverse in QList class, which would have helped me in the work :) I thank Lukas Appelhans for accepting the feature :) The KDE Plasma team is fixing bugs in a rapid way. Kudos to the entire KDE team.

A good tamil movie

Just now finished watching Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. I liked the movie very much. Hats off to the crew who had worked for the movie. It reminded me of the kabadi and kho kho games which I used to play at school :)
